Amy's Story

Text size

Amy Elizabeth Ewing, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2017 at her home in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
Amy was born December 20, 1985 in Norwood, Massachusetts. She grew up and lived in Fayetteville, West Virginia, and graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2004.
Amy is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Donald "Dupey" Wriston of Falls View, WV; and her paternal grandparents Raymond and Phyllis Ewing of Piney View, WV.
Amy is survived by devoted companion Charles Seay, and their beloved daughter Laurel Mae of Fayetteville, WV; father Larry Ewing of Prince, WV; mother Connie Ewing of Fayetteville, WV; grandmother Mildred Wriston of Falls View, WV; sister Deanne Keaton, her husband McRae and their children Haley, Joshua, and Megan of Daniels, WV; sister Leah Dixson, her husband Dustin and their children Bryce, Tyler, and Zachary of Beaumont, CA; sister Heather Canterbury, and her daughter Hannah of Fayetteville, WV; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Amy was the youngest of four daughters, fiercely loyal to those she loved, and a devoted mother and companion. Amy loved the simple things in life. She was known for her loving spirit, her tender heart, and her sense of humor. The light of her life was her daughter Laurel. Amy's passing has left a void in the lives of everyone that knew and loved her, but her profession of faith in Jesus Christ has left them with great assurance of where she will spend eternity.
A Celebration of Amy's Life will be held at Fayetteville Baptist Church on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, from 12 to 2pm. Services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, by Reverend Harry Fuller who baptized Amy as a young girl.
