Arlan Clacy Bartlett
Arlan Clacy Bartlett, 80, of Princeton, WV, devoted husband, father and grandfather, ?died Saturday, December 2nd, with his family by his side. Arlan Clacy (A.C.) was born May 2, 1937, in Brown, WV, to Jack and Earnestine ?Bartlett. In 1956 he graduated from Wallace High School and then enlisted in the Marines ?and was honorably discharged in 1959. He then joined the WV State Police where ?he served from 1960 to 1982 retiring as Sergeant. After retirement he then became ?co-owner of Mountaineer Investigation and Security. He was a member of the ?Concord Masonic Lodge No. 48 in Athens, WV, and an active member of First ?Baptist Church of Princeton. A.C. is survived by his wife of 56 years Drema Sue Bartlett, and his children Tina ?Gentry and her husband Bobby, Jeff Bartlett and his wife Rebecca, and Kristi Carr ?and her husband Gene Carr. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joshua ?Fields, Adam Fields and his wife Natalie, Whitney Kephart and her husband ?David, Matthew Bartlett, Kelsey Bartlett, Jonathan Carr and Logan Carr, 7 great ?grandchildren Isabella Fields, Hannah Fields, Jordyn Fields, Kylie Fields, Harper ?Kephart, Clacy Fields, and Hudson Kephart and his siblings which include his ?brother Warren Bartlett and his wife Diane, and sisters Violet Wilmoth, Judy ?Robinson and Linda Leach. A service of celebration will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, December 5, 2017, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David Kephart officiating. A time of sharing will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 until the service hour at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 1100 AM at the Blue Ridge Memory Gardens in Beckley; those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com A special thanks to the hospice caregivers at Compasses Hospice in Princeton, WV. ?In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compasses Hospice. The Bartlett family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
