Babe Ruth Venable Bruce, of MacArthur, lost her long fought battle with Parkinson's disease. She went to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 31, 2017. She passed away at the home of her son, John in Georgia.
Ruth was born in Stuart, VA, on June 15, 1924 to the late Thomas and Lillian Venable.
She was a member of the Amigo Baptist Church for many years. When she could no longer make the drive, she attended the Family Worship Center in MacArthur. There she devoted many hours in Christian service. Ruth was a member of the Seniors Choir and loved praising the Lord in song.
