Beatrice's Story

Beatrice L. Ayers, 84, a longtime Rainelle, West Virginia resident, passed away early Sunday morning, November 26, 2017 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana.
One of four children of Sam Henry and Jesse Vance Fox, Beatrice was born on February 11, 1933 in Sandstone, West Virginia.
Beatrice married Bernard Ayers on April 28, 1951. Mr. Ayers passed away on April 20, 1993.
A loving caregiver, Beatrice took pride in caring for those in need. She was always willing to cook for folks in need and to volunteer to prepare food for church functions. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, collecting dishes and glassware, and spending time with her dog, Little Bit.
Survivors include four children, Brenda Bennett of Connersville, Indiana, Bobby (Jodi) Ayers and Wayne Ayers, all of Rainelle, West Virginia, and Connie (Jim) Cole of Winona, West Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn Hall of White Oak, West Virginia and Ralph Dick of Fredrick, Maryland.
Besides her husband of 42 years, Bernard Ayers, Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lewis Ward; two grandsons, Jerry Cole and Earl Lewis Ayers.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Wallace and Wallace, Inc. Funeral Chapels and Crematory, 283 Main Street, Rainelle, WV 25962. Reverend Bennie Kenney will officiate. Burial will follow in At The End of the Trail Cemetery. Local services provided by Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Connersville.
