Betty Jo Farley, 89, of Mullens, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at her residence.
Born November 11, 1927, at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Watts and Hazel Brown (Martin) Floyd.
Betty was a homemaker having worked for Mullens TV and Cable as the Bookkeeper/ Secretary. She was a member of the Mullens United Methodist Church where she previously sang in the Choir, a member of United Methodist Women, and was a Charter member of the First Christian Church, Mullens.
Betty was very proud of her family, had numerous special friends, and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, D.C. Farley; and one brother, Jack Floyd.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Daniel Farley and his wife, Greta, of Beckley and Jeffrey Farley of Mullens; three grandchildren, Robin Van Meter and her husband, Scott, Kristen Moore and her husband, Chris, and Amber Harper and her husband, Justin, and their three children; four great grandchildren, Jacob and Maddi Van Meter and Jackson and Gracie Moore; two sisters, Phoebe Cartos and her husband, John, of Norfolk, VA, and Kay Floyd Fulford of Mullens; one brother, Jim Floyd and his wife, Peggy, of Jonesville, NC; and special nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Mullens United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Lowther officiating.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
