Betty's Story

Betty Lou O'Neal, 79, of Mullens, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born July 21, 1938, at Herndon, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Lucy Mae (McKinney) Shrewsbury.
Betty was a homemaker, loved to yard sale, and was a member of Alpoca Ladies Ministry.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her first husband, James Holy Mills; four sons, Jackie Lee Mills, David Wayne Mills, Mike Mills, and Randy Mills; and four brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles O'Neal; two daughters, Pamela Stover and her husband, Joshua of Bud and Drema Gail Mills of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one brother, Tracy Shrewsbury of South Carolina.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Garwood Church of God, Garwood with Rev. Ricky Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in the John Riley Shrewsbury Cemetery, Herndon.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
