MOORESVILLE, NC [ndash] Bobby "Bob" Ray Turner, 60, went to his heavenly home on September 3, 2017, after a valiant battle with a long illness.
His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Bob was born to Bobby Ray Turner Sr. and Eleanor Osvart Turner on April 21, 1957, in Gary, Indiana.
Bob was employed with Carolina Medical Centers in Charlotte, NC and was a member of RiverLife Fellowship Church in Mooresville, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father, his father and mother-in-law, Luther and Maggie Goodwin.
In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Jeanne Goodwin Turner; his daughter, Bethany Barber and husband, Jonathan of Beckley, West Virginia; his sons, Andrew and Alexander, both of Mooresville, NC; his grandson, Ledger; his sister, Deborah Pettus; and niece, Autumn. And many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, all who loved him as a brother, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with a Celebration of Life following at 3:00 PM at RiverLife Fellowship Church, Mooresville.
