Brian's Story

Brian Chris Keaton, age 40, of Beckley, WV, was reunited with loved ones in Heaven on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 19, 1977, in Beckley, he was the son of Alan "Butch" Keaton and Deborah Dickson Keaton of Daniels.
Brian spent most of his career as a coal miner. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, baseball and spending time with his lab, "Josie".
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Russell and Margaret Keaton; maternal grandfather, Virgil Dickson; an uncle, James Carter, and a cousin, Kimberly Lane.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Alan "Butch" and Deborah Keaton of Daniels; brother, Chad Keaton of Clemmons, NC; grandmother, Margaret Dickson of Beckley; aunts and uncles, Ann Dickson, Erland and Drema Tomczyk, Charles and Sandra Lane, George and Karen Wesley, and many loving cousins and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2 PM, with Dr. Charles Bright officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Fred Woods, Zach Woods, Jimmy Wood, Adam Redden, Jeff Vass, Greg Lane, Phil Lane and Chad Hopkins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brian's Safehouse, P. O. Box 1122, Beckley, WV 25801 in memory of Brian Keaton.
