High Point, NC - Mrs. Caroline Marie Gibson, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, Oct. 16, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Carol was born in Minden, WV, September 17, 1942, a daughter of the late Leslie and Nannie Legg Harrah.
She worked in the furniture industry with Alma Desk for many years as a quality control manager. Carol loved the Lord and was an active member of Radiate Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose biggest enjoyment in life was her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Harrah.
Surviving are her husband Phillip Gibson; two daughters, Gina Hunt (David) and Terri Gardner (Jim); three sons, J.R. Brubaker (Anita), Lonnie Brubaker (Christy) and Ernest Brubaker; three sisters, Brenda Smith (Garnet), Keke Cooper (Mike) and Beverly Nettles (Rick); nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and her beloved pet Coaltrain.
A Celebration of Carol's life will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Christy Brubaker. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 noon until the service.
