Charles "Chuck" Edward Crittenden Fultz, 85, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Palmetto Richland Heart Hospital in Columbia, SC.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Miriam Carol (Hammond) Fultz, of Leesville, SC; their son Charles "Charlie" Fultz II and his wife, Sandra, of Chesnee, SC; and, their son Gregory "Greg" Fultz, of Lexington, SC.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Ruby (Lay) Fultz, and his brother James "Jim" Fultz, all of Beckley, WV.
Also surviving are his sister, Helen Kay (Fultz) Scyphers, of Lewiston, ID, and his brother, M. Clark Fultz, of Cut Bank, MT. He has three grandson, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Charles was a cadet at Hargrave Military Academy and later graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (i.e. Virginia Tech) in 1958. He served for several years in the U.S. Air Force during and just after the Korean War. He was a member at Lexington Presbyterian Church (PCA) in his later years.
A memorial is planned for Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lexington Presbyterian Church, 246 Barr Road, Lexington, SC.
