Clifford Joseph Scicluna, age 55, of Clear Creek, WV, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Ypsilanti, Michigan following a sudden illness.
Born on May 10, 1962 in Dearborn, Michigan, he was the son of Joseph Scicluna and the late Ellen Emogene Ashley Scicluna.
Clifford last worked as a coal miner and had been a former employee of Vac All in Michigan. He was a member of Ewing Creek Church in Clear Creek and had made his home in Clear Creek since 2008. Clifford enjoyed antique cars, and spending time with his family and church family.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Scott Scicluna.
Other than his father, survivors include his son, Joshua Joseph Thomas and fiancé, Nathalia Medina of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two daughters, Breanna Scicluna of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Erica McDaniel Hilton and husband, Ricky of Jonesborough, Tennessee; a brother, Gino Wayne Scicluna of Salem, Virginia; a sister, GinaMarie Overstreet and husband Daniel, of Vinton, Virginia; four grandchildren, Amira Thomas, Ava, Colin, and Ryan Hilton; two special aunts, Rev. Loretta Taylor, and Marie Lilly, both of Clear Creek, WV; a niece, Amanda Scicluna, and a great niece, Skye Reed.
Clifford will be remembered for his heart for helping others, his love for children and compassion for those battling addictions.
Funeral services will be conducted at Ewing Creek Church on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 4 PM with Rev. Johnny Taylor and Rev. Michael Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Ewing Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2 PM until 4 PM on Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Thomas, Gino Scicluna, Nicholas Kinser, Clifton Ashley, Jerry Paul Collins, Kent Taylor, Ellis Collins and Daniel Overstreet.
