Clyde's Story

Clyde Walters Jr., 88, of Bellepoint, departed this life for his heavenly home Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a short illness.
Born June 30, 1929 at Ballengee, he was a son of the late George Clyde and Irene Spade Walters.
Clyde was a member of War Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. He was the owner of Walters' Ashland in Hinton and Walters' Auto Sales in Pipestem. Clyde enjoyed hunting, playing cards with his grandsons at the casino, automobiles and machinery was his passion.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Carol Warwick Walters and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Walters and Denzil Ray Walters.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Karen Dale Walters Kirk of Bluefield; two sons, J.C. Walters of Hinton and Larry Wade Walters of Princeton; five grandchildren, Klay Kirk and wife Whitney of Bluefield, VA, Krag Kirk of Bluefield, VA, Alex Walters and wife Autumn of Charleston, SC, Nick Walters of Hinton and Olivia Walters of Huntington, WV; three great grandchildren, Brayden Kirk of Collinsville, IL, Kailyn Marie Kirk of Bluefield, VA and Bella Vance of Bluefield, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Joseph Swiney officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Klay Kirk, Krag Kirk, Alex Walters, Nick Walters, Johnny Angotti and Russell "Sleepy" Grimmett will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Clyde Walters Jr., PO Box 760, Hinton, WV 25951.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
