Corey M. Pannell, 45, of Beckley, died Oct. 4.
Born Feb. 2, 1973, to Grace Pannell-Dillard and Richard Penn.
Preceded in death by his Pops Earnest (Rock) Dillard; daughter, Tryia Whitehead; grandson, Cameron Cromer and uncle, Mason Pannell.
Corey loved working on computers, watching movies and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his grandmother, Corinne Pannell (who raised him) and wife, Leslie Pannell of Beckley; five sons, Devin Gill, Ronnie Baker, Tajia Handy, all of Beckley, Justin Badulala of Arlington, VA and Joshua Toney of Sophia; four daughters, Rashonda McDowell of Lexington, NC, Rynikka McDowell, Romira (Jalen) McDowell and Ariel Payne, all of Beckley; his best friend, his brother, Kelvin Pannell; a sister, Yvette Mitchelle; mother and father-in-law, Bernice (Frankie) Morris of Columbus, OH; brother-in-law, John (Christie) Ward of Myrtle Beach, SC, and sister-in-law, Angela Ward of Beckley; an aunt, Alice Allen of Dumfries, VA; two uncles, Talbert (Buster) Pannell and Valious (Valerie) Pannell of VA; three grandchildren, Aubree, Keigan and Kolten, all of Beckley; special niece, Ava Pannell; special cousins Jacqueline Pannell and Jazlyn Griffin of Dumfries, VA and TJ Pannell of Beckley; ex-wife, Amy McDowell-Pannell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 13, at New Hope Baptist Church, Worley Rd., Beckley, with Pastor Damon Hamby officiating. Friends may call one hour before service.
Arrangements entrusted to Durgan Funeral Home, 1501 S. Kanawha Street, Beckley.
