Cynthia R. "Boozie" Campbell, 73 of Hico, passed away, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial, in Charleston, following a short illness.
Mrs. Campbell was born April 19, 1944, at Gauley Bridge, to the late Dallas and Vina Legg Sr. and Walter and Alice Cole. She was preceded in death by her in laws Guy and Mary "Wink" Campbell, and 2 brothers Steven and Mitchell Legg.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, loved to fish and camp, and loved watching TV.
She retired from Elkem Metals at Alloy in 1993 as a Furnace Woman.
Surviving is her husband Scott Campbell of Hico; 2 daughters, Crystal Malmas (Dave) of Abbotsford BC, Canada and Robin Nowlin (Kirk) of Harrison, OH ; 3 sons, Ricky Billups (Carla) of Hico, Michael Billups (Amy) of Hico and Randy Billups (Belinda) of Hico; 3 brothers Dallas Legg Jr (Crystal), Frank Legg (Sharon) and Jeff Legg; 2 sisters Jean Shears (David) and Vickie Withrow (Tim); sisters-in-law, Theresa Legg, Sandra Billups, Roberta Legg and Diane Murdock. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1 PM, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ansted, with Rev. Frank Legg officiating. Burial will follow in the Clifty Cemetery on Sunday Road, Hico. Friends may call from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
