David Crevere Gillenwater David Crevere Gillenwater, age 82, of MacArthur, WV, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
Born on April 9, 1936 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Samuel Gillenwater and Evelyn Dunkle Gillenwater.
Mr. Gillenwater was a retired business office manager for the hospital industry. He was a US Navy Veteran and attended the Glen White Church of God.
Mr. Gillenwater enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions and refinishing antique furniture.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gillenwater was preceded in death by two brothers, Sammy and Carson Gillenwater, and one sister, Louise Cooper.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Donna Earline Folden Gillenwater; three daughters, Teresa Hicks of Shady Spring, Brenda Hawks and husband Curtis of Soak Creek, and Evelyn Bowyer of Shady Spring; step children, Andrea Morgan and husband John of Sissonville, and Glen Sizemore and wife Judy of Pulaski, VA; two sisters, along with numerous
grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, January 18, 2019 at noon with Pastor Jesse Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
American Legion Post #32 Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites.
