Diane Lynn Blume


Diane Lynn Blume, 54, of Victor passed Saturday, May 11, 2019 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of Clarence "Fuzz" and Wanda White Syner.
She retired as principal of Midland Trail High School in Fayette County, WV. She was also a teacher for many years at various schools in Fayette County.
Diane loved her family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with them at the beach. She was a dedicated teacher and principal serving as a role model/mentor for teachers, students, and all those whose lives she deeply touched.
She is survived by her husband, David Blume of Victor; her parents Fuzz and Wanda Syner of Hico; a daughter, Samantha Blume of Victor and a son, Steven Blume also of Victor; sisters Lisa Deligne and husband Bill of SC and Terry Lesher and husband Elliott of Bridgeport; and a brother, Joey Syner of VA. She had 4 nephews, Alex, Trevor, Hunter and Brayden. She had one niece, Reagan.
Services will be Sunday, May 19th at Lovers Leap Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Milburn Pack officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery on Sunday Road. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18th from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Lovers Leap Baptist Church.

She fought a good battle but she always was a fighter. I will always remember her as our little cheerleader when Carol and Judy Nickell Thomas played softball together for Foodland. My heart is breaking for you all. I have many wonderful childhood memories of growing up with Diane we were friends from the age of 5 spent many hours at each others house, these are memories I will cherish.
