Dr. Brian's Story
A healer here on Earth, he now kneels before the Great Physician that created every good and perfect thing. Dr. Brian Stephen Love, born September 3, 1967 gained his Heavenly wings Monday, August 7, 2017.
Dr. Love was a graduate of Oak Hill High School (1985) and Marshall University with a Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his residency with West Virginia University and was the sole proprietor of Love Family Practice in Beckley.
Steve had just accepted a position at WVU Medical Center in Morgantown and was looking forward to starting a new adventure helping patients of the Mountaineer community. Loved by his patients and colleagues alike, Steve was not only known for his medical practice but for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone that needed him.
Steve had a beautiful singing voice and was a part of WVU Tech's chorus. He loved to sing and he loved to laugh. Quick to crack a joke, he always had a smile on his face and always put others needs first. He was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church and former choir member.
A loving family survives which includes his parents, Shirley and Audrey Painter Love; best friend, Tyler Denny; dog Willie Nelson; sister, Christie Love; and brother, James Love IV. Steve was an uncle to five nephews and one niece; and great uncle of eight. Also surviving his aunt, Margaret Painter and close friends, Ed and Norma Breit, Judy Denny and Crystal Hood.
