Evelyn June Cook Thompson, age 82, of Beaver, WV, passed away at Raleigh Center in Daniels on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Born on February 28, 1935 in Beaver, she was the daughter of the late Stewart Cook and Stella Richmond Cook.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved being of service to others and when health permitted, enjoyed cooking and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thompson, a son, Arthur Thompson, a grandson, Rickie Clark, a son-in-law, Dr. Bobby Tucker, and by five brothers and one sister.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Charles Thompson Jr. and wife, Kitty of Beaver, Pamela Thompson of Statesville, NC, Marilyn Williams and husband, Blane of Beaver, and Jackie Clark and husband, Rick of Beaver; ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside rites and burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV, on Monday, July 10, 2017 at noon with Rev. Tim Dillon officiating. There will be no visitation.
