Frances Marie Adkins, age 91, of Beckley, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.
Born on June 20, 1928, at Pluto, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Harris and Ethel Harris.
Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church. She had been a resident of Beckley for most of her adult life, and was a 1946 graduate of Shady Spring High School.
Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey, one brother Kenneth Harris, and one sister Annalee Smith.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include two sons, Steve Adkins of Beckley, and Randy Adkins of Morgantown.
Three grandchildren: Angela Hollowell and her husband Brian of Austin, TX, Leslie Perry and her husband Michael of Austin, TX, and Jason Adkins of Morgantown. Three great grandchildren: Amanda Brook Hollowell, Jacob Dempsey Hollowell, and Penelope Parker Perry. Many nieces and nephews are also among her survivors.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Friday. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 2014 South Kanawha St., Beckley, WV 25801. Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV.
