Harvey Clinton Tyree Jr., 71, of Camp Creek, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at home with his wife and daughter by his side.
Born February 24, 1945 at Winding Gulf, WV; he is the son of the late Harvey and Sadie Tyree.
Harvey was of the Baptist faith, loved gardening, long walks with his wife, hunting, fishing, and trapping. He retired from General Motors in Atlanta, GA following 30 years of dedicated service.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Price Tyree; two children, Randy Tyree and wife, Pam of Richmond, VA and Tammy Tyree and companion Steve Simpkins of Princeton, WV; five grandchildren, Krystle Land of Athens, WV, C.K. Minton of Princeton, WV, Megan Kestner of Richmond, VA, and Landen and Ethan Tyree of Richmond, VA; two great-grandchildren, Dominik Smith of Athens, WV and Lilliana Trower of Richmond, VA; six sisters, Norma Hylton and husband, Doug of Coal City, WV, Millie Wilson and husband, Marvin of Tenn, Mary Puckett and husband, Robert of Coal City, Joyce Bolen and husband, Bobby of Beckley, Eula Wilson and husband, Tommy of Tenn, and Debra Bolen and husband, Roger of Beckley; two brothers, Ronnie Tyree and wife, Jonalee of Beckley and Claude Tyree and wife, Rita of Crab Orchard, WV; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services to celebrate the life of Harvey Clinton Tyree Jr will be held 1 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton with Rev. Ivan England officiating assisted by Marvin Wilson. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
C.K. Minton, Landen Tyree, Steve Simpkins, Allen Price, Jerry Price, and Ronnie Price will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 6 until 8 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the funeral home.
