Henrietta Claire Brooks Blankenship, 79, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.
Born October 29, 1938, in Mallory, WV, a daughter of the late Perry and Sina Maynard Brooks.
She is a member of the UAW Union and the last survivor of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Jimmy Blankenship; a daughter Tammy Erac; a granddaughter Adriana Derosett; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years Jerry Blankenship Jr.; two daughters Phyllis (Jackie) Banther of Oceana and Ramona (David) Wood of Parma, OH; a son Phillip (Lana) Blankenship of Estill Springs, TN; nine grandchildren Crystal Riggi, Joseph Blankenship, Tammy Blankenship, Sabrina Ponce, Natalia Downard, Kyle Lusk, Phillip Blankenship Jr., Chloe Blankenship and Paige Cook; six great grandchildren Dominick Derosett, Sophia Derosett, Nathanial Ponce, Jayla Downard, Emmaline Blankenship, Jude Lusk and Jaxon Derosett; special friends Junior and Ann Bailey; special nephew Jeffery Maynard; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, September 29th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11AM until time of services on Saturday, September 29th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
