Henry Franklin 'Frank' Henson Henry Franklin "Frank" Henson, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Hospice of Southern West Virginia in Beckley.
Born November 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Melvin Lee Henson and Effie Louise Martin.  
Frank was the oldest living member at the Fayetteville Baptist Church, where he became a member in 1948. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree from Elkem Metals/Union Carbide.
He was preceded in death by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Betty Myers Henson, his brother Edward "Hink" Henson (surviving wife Connie) of Florida, and by his sister, Betty Jo Goddard and brother-in-law Harold Goddard of Michigan. 
Survivors include daughters Cathy (Steve) Broughman of Oak Hill and Jeannie (David) Morris of Charleston. Grandchildren include Stephen Broughman II, Stephanie (Jared) Lipscomb, Jacob Henry Morris and Samuel Stone Morris, and a host of very special nieces and nephews.  
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 12th, 2018 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, in Fayetteville, with Pastors Michael Belcher (nephew) and David Sneed officiating. Entombment will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12pm on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to go to Hospice of Southern WV, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.

I tears that you were gone. Because your smile was sweeter and your heart was tender. Now you’re with my dad Edward “Hink” in the heaven. I miss you. I love you. I remembered good memories at your house with aunt Betty Lou, and aunt Betty Jo, and grandma Louise house, aunt Cathy, uncle Bill house and cousins. Every summer in WVA. Sometimes during winter.

Uncle Frank you will be missed, you and Aunt Betty took me into your home in 1956 till 1958 and treated me as your own daughter. I will always love you and miss you so much .
