Hydreth L. Simpson Sizemore, age 84, of Lindside, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at her home on Cooks Run Road.
Born January 3, 1934, in Algoma, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Elbert and Pearl E. Belcher Simpson.
Hydreth was a member of the Union Church of God, she was a homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen P. Sizemore Sr.; four brothers, Curtis Simpson, Silas Mullins, Wiley Bill Simpson, and Donald Simpson; two sisters, Gladys E. Simpson Church and Gertrude M. Simpson Sizemore; and two son-in-laws, William A. Carter and Steve D. Helms.
Survivors include three daughters, her caregiver, Jennifer L. Sizemore Carter of Lindside, WV, Cathy A. Sizemore Helms of Zenith, WV, and Sherry L. Sizemore Mann and husband James of Wikel, WV; one son, Allen P. Sizemore Jr. and wife Lillian of Lindside, WV; beloved grandson, Allen P. Sizemore III and wife Rebeka of Salem, VA; one brother, Harold F. Simpson and wife Shirley of McDowell County; one sister, Leona Simpson Muncy of Wharton, WV; two sister-in-laws, Stella Mullins of Pineville, WV, and Carol Sue Blevins Simpson of Lerona, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, WV, with her brother, Harold Simpson speaking. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM on Thursday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Union Church of God for their Missionary Projects (501 Main Street, Union, WV, 24983).
