Irene Lusk Mullins, age 90, of Cool Ridge, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Raleigh Center in Daniels, WV.
Born on February 7, 1928 in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Jess P. Lusk and Hattie M. Kester Lusk.
Mrs. Mullins was a loving homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
She always put the needs of her family and others first. Mrs. Mullins had a smile that would light up the room. Her quick wit and loving nature will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Ralph Mullins; two sons, Mickey in 1953, and Steve, killed in action in Vietnam in 1969; four brothers, Kenneth, Kermit, Mack and Jess "Buddy" Lusk; three sisters, Gladys, Ina and Inez, and her daughter-in-law, Doris Mullins.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Joe Mullins of Cool Ridge, and Anita "Sis" Setliff and her husband, Keith, of Cool Ridge; five grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer and husband, Chris, Joey Mullins, Rachel Quesenberry and husband, David, Hannah Smith, and Stephen Setliff; great grandchildren, Gavin, Hunter, Grace, Sutton, Karlie, Micah, Jase, Luke and Madix.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 1 PM with Bro. Michael McKay officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the funeral home. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
