Jack  Hampton Jr.
In loving memory of our brother Jack Hampton Jr., age 75 of Coal City, WV, who passed away at Bowers Hospice in Beckley on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 after a long illness.
Born March 5, 1944 in Coal City, he was the son of the late Jack Hampton Sr. and Mina McClure Hampton.
Jack was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Timmy Hampton, a step son, Patrick Hampton, a sister Hazel McGhee, and a brother Joe Hampton.
Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Randall Hampton of Midway; step daughter Sherry Hampton of Coal City; Siblings, Drema O'Neal of Coal City, Don Hampton of Pemberton, Lucille Boggess of Coal City, Roger Hampton and wife Patsy of Coal City, and Terri Upshaw and husband Bill of Elk City, OK; Nine grandchildren, a host of nieces and nehews and special friends Rev. Frank Lyons, Speedy Ayers, Tommy Cochran, and Danny "Poncho" Sheets.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses at Bowers Hospice House and aides that came to the house to care for him.
There will be no funeral services, however graveside rites and burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery in Coal City with Pastor Lowell Black officiating on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 3 PM.

I am Richard Smith's daughter. My dad and Jack were cousins (second cousins I think) My grandfather was Hugh Smith. Though my dad died in 2000, I know he would want me to send condolences to your family.
