James Paul "Junior" (June Bug) Crawford, 45, of Cool Ridge, WV, passed away at Bowers Hospice House, surrounded by his loving sister Susie Bailey and his uncle, Sam Sadler, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
Born on September 27, 1971, in Beckley, he was the son of the late James E. Crawford and Bonnie Mae Sadler Crawford.
Junior was a disabled maintenance man and had lived most of his life in Cool Ridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Stephen "Yogi" Tackett, and Jerry and Dale Crawford; grandparents, Lawrence and Winnie Sadler, and John Crawford, and his beloved pet of 14 years, "Speck."
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving sister and caregiver, Stephanie "Susie Angel" Bailey and husband, Randy, of Prosperity, with whom he made his home for the past two years; two brothers, Matthew Tackett and wife, Emiley, of Stephen City, Virginia, and Mark Tackett of Middletown, Virginia; nephews, Jason Bailey of Prosperity, and Joey Bailey of Silver Spring, Maryland; a special friend, Michelle Sallie of Daniels, WV; several uncles and cousins also survive.
The family extends special thanks to Bowers Hospice House and staff for their awesome support.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 11 AM with Jeffrey Brady officiating. Burial will follow at Larke Crawford Cemetery at Cool Ridge. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
