Jimmy Lee Baker
Jimmy Lee Baker, 65 of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Bowers Hospice House. Jimmy was a coal miner, motorcycle enthusiast, yard keeper extraordinaire, world traveler but more importantly family man and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Leslie and his mother-in-law Anna Gray. Two sons, Jesse (wife Amanda) and Cody all of Beckley and the two people he adored most in this world, his grandchildren, Londen and Ethan Baker. He is also survived by his sisters Carla Brunty (Daniel), Debbie Voloski (Tom), Tonia Garcia and his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Marcia Gray.
He was preceded in death by his mother Regina Barr Adams, younger brother Richard Adams and sister Patty Jones.
Visitation will be at Beckley's Historic Black Knight from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 13, 2019 with a memorial service to follow at 4 o'clock. One of Jimmy's first jobs was at Rose and Quesenberry. He always remembered fondly his time there and all the life lessons he learned from Amos.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bowers Hospice House or to the Anna Gray Family Fund at Beckley Area Foundation.
The family of Jimmy Baker wishes to thank the Aultmans, the McGlothlins, the Reynolds', Ashley Blaney, Timmy Brooks, Jeff Almond and Leslie's City family for all their love and support during Jimmy's time in the hospital.
