Joe's Story

Joe Edward Ruble, age 62, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Born on September 23, 1955 in Beckley, he was the son of the late John Ruble and Nina Vars Ruble.
Joe was a truck driver for Mine Battery Systems. He was a former employee of the Beckley YMCA, a former umpire for softball and was a longtime volleyball and basketball referee.
Joe attended Beckley Church of God and was an avid West Virginia University sports fan, along with being a Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Ruble.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his sons, Chad and Joey Ruble of Shady Spring, a brother Johnny Ruble of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Joe is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his sons, Cindy Ruble of Shady Spring.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Beckley Church of God on S. Kanawha Street with Bishop Tim Akers officiating. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring, WV.
