Joshua Jeffrey Roark


Joshua Jeffrey Roark, age 42 of Westview, near Odd, WV, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019.
Born on December 1, 1976 in Beckley, he was the son of Nanette Dickerson Roark of Westview, near Odd, WV, and the late Dennis Ray Roark.
Mr. Roark was a disabled Software Engineer for Navy Federal Credit Union. He was a US Air Force Veteran, serving for 6 years. He had attended Westview Missionary Baptist Church as a child, and enjoyed playing online games on the computer. He loved spending time with his wife and children.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bethany Ballard Roark; three children: Alyssa Dowd of Winchester, VA, Hannah Roark and Austin Roark, both at home; his mother, Nanette Dickerson Roark of Westview; four siblings, Meredith Davis of Daniels, Dennis Ray Roark Jr. and wife Jaclyn of Westview, Patrick Roark and wife Saprina, of Epperly, and Media Ritchie and husband Eric of Cool Ridge. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to Celebrate the Life of Joshua Jeffrey Roark will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3 PM at Westview Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Israel officiating. Friends and family may gather together one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.

Joshua was full of life and was great to be around. I remember many memories at work have lunch with my IT family. Sending prayer to his family in this difficult time.

I worked with Josh since 2006. He was always so helpful and a really nice guy. I’m so very sorry for his family. Thoughts and prayers to you all!
