Juanita June Nelson, 81, of Leslie, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at her home following a long illness.
Born April 3, 1937, at Bellburn, she was the daughter of the late Lowell and Elizabeth Cochran McClung.
Juanita was a homemaker who loved working in her flowers and cleaning her home. She worked as a CNA at Greenbrier Manor, Heartland of Rainelle, and Home Care Plus, as well as private sitting. She was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Elmer Nelson; her daughter Dedra Nelson; and 1 brother Vespie McClung.
Survivors include 2 daughters Theresa Callison (David) of Lawn and Samantha Nelson (Luke Adkins) of Leslie; 4 brothers James McClung of Maryland, Dale McClung (Polly) of Charlestown, David McClung (Sharon) of Winchester, Virginia, and Paul McClung (Donna) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; 3 grandchildren Danny Boothe (Melissa) of Quinwood, Elizabeth McCallister (Joe) of Asbury, and Erica Heaster of Cornstalk; three great-grandchildren Dustin and Madison Boothe and Baby Girl McCallister, arriving in December; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, July 28, in the House of Prayer, Charmco, with Pastor Felix Baker officiating.
Friends may call one hour before the service from 2 - 3 pm at the church.
