Kitty Sue McKinney, 66, of Stephenson, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her residence.
Born May 29, 1951 at Amigo, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Kershner Jr. and Evelyn Mae (Coffman) Kershner.
Kitty worked as Assistant Manager at Dollar General. She was a loving mother, hard worker and wonderful homemaker. In her leisure she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and ginsenging.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Sheryll and Patricia Kershner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Wesley McKinney Sr. of Stephenson; one daughter, Evelyn (Sally) Hill and her husband, Kenneth of Princeton; two sons, James Wesley McKinney Jr. and his wife, Ibeth of Pineville and Benny Ray McKinney and his wife, Patty of Maben; nine grandchildren, David R. Bishop II and his wife, Alicia, Erica N. Bishop, Brittany D. Goss and her husband, Bradley, Lakin M. McKinney, James Hunter McKinney, L. Ray McKinney, Carley McKinney, Benny Mitchell McKinney, and Samantha McKinney; six great grandchildren, David A. Bishop, Adam H. Bishop, Easton R. Bishop, Charleigh B. Blankenship, McKenna D. Goss, and Caroline R. McKinney; two sisters, Sharon Tackett and her husband, Ronnie and Donna Whorley and her husband, James; three brothers, Joe Kershner and his wife, Mary, Steven Kershner and his wife, Attie, and James Kershner and his wife, Alice.
Services will be 12 Noon, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, Mullens with Pastor Randy Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Spruce Grove Cemetery, Basin.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Benny McKinney, Wesley McKinney, David Ray Bishop, Ray McKinney, Mitchell McKinney, Hunter McKinney, and Alex Bishop.
