Lee Nixon Hart
After a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Lee Hart, husband, father & grandfather, passed away at the age of 81, surrounded by family & friends.
Lee was born on July 7, 1938, in Beckley, WV, to Robert & Evelyn Hart. He was a 1956 graduate of WWHS. Mr Hart earned his Master's Degree in Education from WVU. He was an educator for 30 years in Raleigh County at Stoco & Independence High Schools. Lee had a lifelong passion for teaching science and being a member of the NEA. He was also a member of Memorial Baptist Church, serving as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, member of the church choir & administration of the Benevolent Fund.
Lee was an avid lover of books & reading, music, old movies & WVU Sports.
Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn (Hart) Gurley, and parents, Robert & Evelyn Hart. He is survived by his wife Linda of 48 years,
his daughters, Tanya (John) Davidson and Summer Hutchinson, and grandson Paul Hutchinson IV.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 5 PM until 7 PM, with funeral services to be conducted at 11AM Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the church. Dr. James Boyd and Dr. Charles Bright will be officiating.

The family would like to thank caregivers Sheila who was there through much of his illness & caregiver Bonnie, who provided evening care. Also, the staff at the Bowers Hospice House for their wonderful care & support.
