Loretta Joyce Mounts, 84 of Garden Oaks Drive, Princeton, died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born in Wood Bay, WV, April 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Quincy and Beatrice Stone Polk. She was a graduate of Sophia High School and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Princeton. Joyce loved her flowers and enjoyed tending to her gardens. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1971 moving here from Johnstown, PA.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Eugene Bernard Mounts and one sister, Shirley Pitre, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter Donna Reynolds and her husband Dr. Bill Reynolds of Princeton; one son, Michael Eugene Mounts of St. Albans, WV; three grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn Bowyer and her husband Paul, Dustin Mounts and Ryan Mounts; two great-grandchildren, Brynlee Bowyer and Seth Stidham-Mounts; two sisters, Eileen Poland and her husband Paul of Bloomington, IN and Melva Wood and husband Jerry of Crab Orchard, WV; caregiver and friend, Nancy Mackaravitz of Princeton. Graveside services to celebrate the life of Joyce Mounts will be conducted 1 PM Friday, September 8, 2017, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Beckley with Rev. Lyle Mullins officiating. Burial will follow.
Friends may gather at the Mausoleum Chapel from 12 noon to the service hour.
