Lucille  Kincaid


Lucille Kincaid, 86, of Shady Spring, WV, formerly of Charleston, WV, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born on March 13, 1932 at Longbottom, she was the daughter of the late Grant Gwinn and Bertha Bragg Gwinn.
Lucille was a retired Registered Nurse at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division with 45 years of service.
She attended Mountain Missions Church in Charleston, and presently attended Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church at Beaver. Lucille loved doing the Card Ministry in her church and enjoyed the care of all of animals. She was a large supporter of Appalachian Bible College.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Kincaid, by her second husband, Jim Looney, and by a sister Irene Redden and husband Arnold.
Survivors include her nieces and caregivers, Ellen Lilly and husband Danny, and Emma Dorsey, all of Shady Spring; two nephews, Blaine Redden and wife Anita of Beckley, and Steve Redden and wife Diane of Winter Springs, FL; a special former co-worker who was like a daughter, Susan Macy and husband, Ed of Huntington Beach, CA also survives.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley at noon on Thursday, January 17, 2019 with Pastor Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
