Mrs. Lylia Jean Holliday, 80, of Fayetteville, died Friday, November 10, 2017, in Oak Hill following a short illness.
Born May 20, 1937, in Edmond, WV, she was the daughter of Lyle and Helena Horrocks.
Mrs. Holliday had a great compassion for taking care of others and spent her life as a caregiver for the elderly. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Hershel Richard Holliday Sr.; by parents, Lyle Curtis and Helena Louise Horrocks; and sisters Betty Sears and Doris Barker.
Survivors include three brothers, Richard Horrocks and wife Wanda, Kenneth Horrocks and wife Margaret, and Rodney Horrocks; sister Barbara Harding; three daughters Pamela Oiler and husband George, Linda Marciano and Rita Holliday; one son, Hershel Richard Holliday Jr.; four grandsons, George Oiler and fiancée Mandie, Jerad Oiler, Vincent Marciano and wife Jessica, and Eric Marciano; great-granddaughters Kayla, Madisen, Abigail, Katie, Alexis, Gracelyn, Piper, and Reagan and great-grandson Grayson.
Services will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at the Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, at the funeral home.
