Margie Elaine Slone, age 68, of Shady Spring, WV passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2017 at her home.
Born on December 30, 1948 in Thurmond, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Martin and Betty Guthrie Martin.
Mrs. Slone was a homemaker, and was a great woman of faith. She was devoted to her family and friends, loved life, and was good to everyone she would come into contact. Mrs. Slone enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. For years she worked with her late husband, Randolph Slone at Trinity Engineering.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Slone, and by sisters Jeannie Martin, Judy Martin, and Linda Stringer.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Christopher Daniel Slone, and Melanie Jane Slone, both of Shady Spring; Siblings, Brenda J. Bennett and husband Eddie of Talcott, Dallas Hughey and husband Mike of Florida, Kitty S. Baum and husband John of Florida, and Janis Gunnoe and husband Jim of Princeton; a special niece Amber J. Martin.
Six grandchildren, Christian M. Slone, Caleb E. Slone, Seth M. Slone, Preston Lilly, C.D. Lilly, and Jacob Lilly, a great grandson, A.J. Lilly, and a great grandson soon to be born also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on December 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
