Michael Joseph Staton Sr., age 62, of White Oak, WV, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Born on December 11, 1956, in Beckley, he was the son of Melba Lilly Underwood of White Oak and the late Julian Staton, and was the step son of the late Bob Underwood.
Mr. Staton was an electrician, and was a private building contractor. He was of the Methodist faith, and enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, and doing fix-it projects.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory, other than his mother Melba Underwood, include his children: Michael Joseph Staton Jr., stationed in Hawaii, and Holly Diane Staton of Stafford, VA.
A brother, Larry Staton and wife Sandy of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Kathy Lilly and husband Bill of Ghent, WV, and Laura Baxter of Stafford, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the life of Michael Joseph Staton Sr. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 7 PM at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Jack Barber officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. You will forever be miss in ways more then words can ever explain. Thank you so much for everything and for having faith in me when I did not have faith in myself.
