Mildred Evelyn Webber Altizer, 85, of Red Sulphur Turnpike Road, Pipestem, formerly of Premier, died peacefully Friday, December 2, 2016, at her home with family by her side. Born in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Chaney Webber & Lilly Cobble Webber. She graduated from high school in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While living in McDowell County, she along with her devoted husband owned and operated the M & B Grocery at Premier. Mildred was a faithful member of Painters Chapel United Methodist Church at Speedway. While her health permitted, she loved working in her garden and flower beds, working on the family farm and crocheting. She will long be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Billy G. Altizer, along with a son Garland Michael Altizer, grandson, Michael Joseph Roberts, two great grandchildren: Jennifer Hatchett & Alex Haynes and four siblings: Robert Webber, Martha King, Mattalene Paterson & Ella Mae Webber. Those left to cherish her memory, four loving children: Joyce & Andre Delnoij of Holland, Darrell & Cathy McKinney of Daniels, David & Eva Altizer of Beckley and Timothy Altizer of Cabin Creek. 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. Six siblings: Helen Scott, Bud & Maxine Webber, Jimmy & Carolyn Webber, Sharon Wells all of Wyoming, Connie Cunnings of California & Loretta Heath of Montana, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She had a very special and close friend that she loved dearly, Elaine Butler, along with her faithful dog, Buddy. Services to celebrate the wonderful life of Mildred Altizer will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Painters Chapel United Methodist Church at Speedway with Pastor David Damewood officiating. Burial will follow in the Altizer Family Cemetery near Pipestem. Friends may visit with the family Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton and one hour prior to services at the church. Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Richard Roberts, Robbie Ortiz, Davie Altizer, Timothy Altizer, Jacob Roberts, Jameson Roberts, Hunter Hatchett, Robbie M. Ortiz, Landon Stacy, Zachary Johnston, Brodie Altizer, Jackson Altizer and Jonathan Altizer.
