Mildred Kathleen Lilly, age 89, of Galena, Missouri, formerly of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
Born on April 14, 1928, in Pemberton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Rickman and Beatrice E. Winfrey Rickman.
Mrs. Lilly was a former employee of Kmart in Taylor, Michigan, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cranberry Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gilbert Lilly, by a great grandchild, and by ten brothers and sisters.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include sons, Michael G. Lilly and wife, Donna, of Galena, Missouri, and Mitchell E. Lilly and wife, Belinda of Sparta, Tennessee; daughters, Kathleen D. Penny of Taylor, Michigan, Barbara C. Moore of Ravenna, Ohio, and Peggy J. Zlatkin of Sterling Heights, Michigan; a brother, Dennis Rickman of Ypsilanti, Michigan; a sister, Carol Shubert of Baltimore, Maryland; 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Cranberry Baptist Church on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 AM with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 8 PM on Thursday at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, and also one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will grandsons, Justin C. Lilly, Bryan Penny, Brent Penny, and Gary Penny, and honorary pallbearer will Jason M. Lilly.
