Mrs. Annie Elizabeth "Ga Ga" Johnson, 92, of Hassell, NC, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Born September 19, 1924 in Slab Fork, WV, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Walter Jackson and Elvira Lucy Brown Jackson Herring.
Mrs. Johnson was a devoted domestic and wife. She served as Deaconess, Evangelist and member of the Glorious Church of God in Christ, Brooklyn, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Johnson; sisters, Madeline Roach, Lorraine Billie Riggins, Inez Elviria Evans and Ruth Harper; nieces, Marie Weatherbyand Linda Evans and great-nephew, James Weatherby.
Left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Arnita (Theodore) Jackson of Oak Hill, WV and Jeanette (James) Cotten of Hassell, NC; sister, Linda Jackson of Detroit, MI; brother, Carlton A. Jackson of San Francisco, CA; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Glorious Church of God in Christ, 421 Main Street, Mt. Hope, WV, with Bishop John Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
