Ray Lakin Piercy of Richmond, VA, died on July 14, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Ray was born to Homer and Pearl Piercy in Rupert, WV on Jan. 14, 1931.
Ray graduated from Marshall University after serving in the Army during the Korean War.
He had a successful career in pharmaceutical and medical textbook sales before retiring. Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed woodworking, home improvement projects, watching baseball, and bluegrass music.
Ray married his childhood friend, Maryjane Feemster Piercy, of Richmond VA. They were married for 24 years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Maryjane, his brother, Jim Piercy, Leesburg, FL, his daughters, Alison Topper & Leslie Brown, Boerne, TX, his son, Daniel Piercy, Columbus OH, step daughters, Carolyn Hooker and Susan Hardy, Richmond, VA, and numerous grandchildren.
