Richard Lee Large, 84, of Iroquois, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Born July 25, 1933 at Pike, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Alvie J. and Victoria (Chapman) Large.
Richard was a retired coal miner and attended the Charity Baptist Church in Mullens.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Large; one sister, Mary Large; and two brothers, Denny and Pat (Bucky) Large.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Treasa Lane and her husband, David of Barkers Ridge and Diana Franklin and her husband, Todd of Mullens; three sons, Richard G. Large and his wife, Sheilah, Roger D. Large and his wife, Angela of Allen Junction, and Dennis H. Large and his companion, Johnna of Itmann; one sister, Louella Severt; one brother, Ray Large; ten grandchildren, Tracy, Paul, Amber, Emily, Justin, Candace, Kaylee, D.J., Kelli, and Kasey; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 am Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry England officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Godby, WV.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
