Ricky Jr. Dickens
Ricky Jr. Dickens, 62, of Naoma, WV died on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 after a long illness.
He was born June 8, 1957 at Charleston, WV.
He was a coal miner for 32 years at Harris #1 mines. Ricky's life was coal mining and he had a love for coon hunting. He also loved going to the camp at Pocahontas County.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Dickens, his father, Pete Dickens Jr., a brother-in-law, Joe Runion, a nephew, Scottie Cole, a great nephew, Joey Scott Voiers II and a special uncle, Billy Dickens.
He is survived by a sisters, Vicky Runion of Prenter, WV, and sister, Patricia "Sis" Cole and husband, Teddy of Naoma, WV; a brother, Danny Dickens and wife, Regina of Naoma, WV; a niece, Brandy Dickens and husband, Kenny of Bolt, WV; a great nephew, Preston Pugh of Naoma, WV; five great nieces: Autumn Cole and companion, Jordon Honaker of Eccles, WV, Trisha Cole and companion, Deric Green of Naoma, WV, Summer Cole and companion, John Greathouse of GA, Madison Cole and companion, Tyler Tompkins of Rock Creek, WV and Morgan Cole of Naoma, WV. He has two great-great nieces, Trinity Grace Honaker and Laylei June Honaker of Eccles and a great-great nephew, Karson Waye Greathouse of GA. He had a special cousin who always went and seen him everytime he was in the hospital and we thank you, Jerry Dickens for your Love. He has a very large family and a large group of friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
I want to mention and thank some special people who helped him when he needed them, Edsel Simmons, Carl Harris (June Bug) and Wayne Condia.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, February 24, 2020 at 2:00 in the Arnett Chapel at Arnett, WV with Rev. Larry Kinder officiating. Interment will follow in the Dickens Family Cemetery, Naoma, WV.
Pallbearers will be Mark Skaggs, Gregory Stover, Deric Green and Josh Wilson.
The visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 at the church.
