Rosina (Collins) Farmer, 86, of Midway went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ following a long illness on May 7, 2016.
Born April 10, 1930, in Slab Fork, she was the daughter of the late Sonny and Mary Jane (Acord) Collins.
She was a loving, gentle, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Randolph Farmer; Two great-grandchildren Kendall and Amanda Varney, and six great-grandbabies; her brothers and sisters, Junior, Virgil, George Collins, Mabel Carpenter, and Anna Lee Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Randy Farmer and Anna Rae Hungate of Beckley, Doralene Redden and husband Sherman of Mabscott, Ray Farmer and his wife Deanna of Coal City, Maudie Watkins and husband Randy of Charlotte, NC, George Farmer and wife Karen of Dawson, Walter Farmer and Pat Jones of Midway, and Yvonne Collins of Hinton; and her brother Dave Collins of Lester.
21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends.
Services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, with Pastor Shane Roark officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Canaday Cemetery on Old Route 54 in Glen View. Pallbearers will be Donnie Varney, Steve Varney, Bruce Daniels, Little Walt Farmer, Jordan Reed, and Larry Smith.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
