Teddy Ray Moore, 58, of Fairdale, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.
He was born on September 8, 1958 in Man, WV, and was the son of the late Freddy and Bessie Moore.
Teddy was a proud member of the U.S. National Guard and retired as a hard working coal miner with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Local 1713 UMWA and a member of Shiloh Community Church. Teddy enjoyed being outside on his John Deere tractor, spending time with family and tending to his gardens.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, of nearly 37 years, Debra Moore; his sons Joseph (Anna) Moore of Chicago, IL and Joshua Moore of Charlotte, NC and a precious granddaughter, Taylor Rae of Chicago, IL; brothers Gary Moore (Gloria) of Wardensville, WV; Dave Moore (Carolyn) of Bolt, WV; Barry Moore ( Lori) of West Newton, PA; sisters Freda Price of Oceana, WV; Melissa (Larry) Campbell of Seattle, Washington.
Funeral Services will be at 2 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Beckley, WV, with Pastors Jerry Brooks, Douglas Berkel and Steve Beverly officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, WV.
Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services on Sunday (12-2 PM).
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
