Timothy Ray Cook, 58, of Hotchkiss, was called to his Heavenly home on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in a Beckley hospital following a sudden illness.
Born December 24, 1958, in Mullens, he was the son of Jewel Marie (Blevins) Cook and the late Harless Anderson Cook Sr.
Tim had more than 40 years of service as a coal miner having last worked for Arch Coal, Eccles as a Fire Boss. He was a member of UMWA and loved all of his coal mining men that worked under him as a Foreman. In his leisure he enjoyed painting cars, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and loved spending time with his family but most of all spoiling his grandchildren. He was a member of the Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 40 years, Debra Leigh (Whitt) Cook; three sons, Brandon Ray Cook and his wife, Alyson of Hotchkiss, Kevin Lee Cook and his wife, Natasha of Coal City, and Keith Anderson Cook of Hotchkiss; four grandchildren, Casey Jo Cook, Drake Anderson Cook, Tyler Ray Cook, and Emma Caroline Cook; two brothers, Harless Anderson Cook Jr. and his wife, Claudia of Man and Glen Lee Cook and his wife, Sandra of Lost River.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mullens with Rev. Lewis Arnold and Rev. Harless A. Cook Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B, Beckley.
Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the church and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
