Verona's Story

Verona Lucy Dick, 92, of Ramp went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 26, 2018 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness.
Born September 3, 1925, at Green Sulphur Springs, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Francis (Frank) and Evelyn Alice Hicks Fox.
Verona attended Ramp Holiness Church. She worked as a receptionist/secretary and was a caregiver as long as her health permitted. Verona enjoyed reading, flowers, knitting dishrags, working puzzle books and playing Yahtzee. She also loved watching her humming birds and the other birds she fed.
Verona was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leslie (Bob) Dick; one grandson, Dana Silas Alphon Brinegar; four great great grandchildren; two sons in law, Golden Brinegar and Alphon Brinegar and one brother in law, Tony Dick.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Margie Brinegar of Tug Creek and Patsy Brinegar of Hilldale; five grandchildren, Decretia Cales of Tug Creek, Grayson Brinegar and wife Barbara of Tug Creek, Allen Brinegar of Tug Creek, Debbie Ward of Judson and Datsi Farmer and husband Gary of Madams Creek; one granddaughter in law, Betty Brinegar of KY; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and two great great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, March 2, 2018 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Patricia Cales officiating. Burial will follow in the Halliden Cemetery at Lick Creek.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral parlor.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
