Virginia Borders, 71, of Kopperston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018 following a long battle with cancer.
She was born December 9, 1946 in Pilgrim, KY, to the late Joe Maynard and Wilda Staton Maynard.
Virginia worked various retails jobs throughout her life but her favorite job by far, was that of a nurse. She absolutely loved helping others and wasn't content until she knew that everyone was taken care of.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly (Kim) Dawn Borders; mother and father in-law, John and Carmen Borders; brothers, Truman and John Maynard; sister, Edith Rose Blankenship; brothers-in-law, Harold Rose and Tom Borders; and sisters-in-law, Beulah Borders and Karen Borders.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Borders Jr. of Kopperston; brothers, Ellis and wife Vivian Maynard of Cleveland, OH, Wallace Maynard and wife, Marlene of Fairdale, Adrian Maynard and wife, Sheila of Clear Fork, Tommy Maynard and wife, Deanna of Kopperston; sisters-in-law, Opal Maynard of Beauty, Ky, Margie Maynard of OH, Daisy Peters and husband, Elmer of Charleston, Roxie Vada and husband, Jay of OH; brothers-in-law, Linsey Borders and wife, Vicki of VA, Art Borders of Beckley; and several nieces and nephews.
In respecting Virginia's wishes, services will remain private and cremation will follow.
