Wilda's Story

Wilda Doris Yearego, age 79, of Daniels, WV, completed her walk on this earth on Monday, January 1, 2018, at her home. In his loving mercy, God sent His angels to bring her home.
Born on July 23, 1938, in Cornstalk, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jum Crookshanks and Gladys Price Crookshanks.
Mrs. Yearego was a retired cook for the Raleigh County Board of Education. She was a member of Maple Valley Baptist Church at Maple Fork. Mrs. Yearego loved to sew and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Yearego was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Yearego; by brothers, Melvin and Allen Crookshanks, and by sisters, Dessie Statts and Evelyn Meadows. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include children; son, Curtis and daughter-in-law, Patricia; other son Tony, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie. She will be sadly missed by a special daughter-in-law, Christine Yearego, grandson, Patrick Yearego, and great grandson, Lenn Yearego of Nurnberg, Germany. Adding to the number of people who will miss her are two beautiful granddaughters, Fayth and Ryle Yearego; grandsons, Joseph and Jakob Yearego, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; two special sisters-in-law, Margaret Tincher and husband, Kerry, of Beckley, and Connie Fugate of Rainelle; special friends, Denny and Dreama Williams, Frances Underwood, Lisa Davis, and Rosie Wingerd, and two caregivers, Shirl Ames and
Melissa Mason also survive.
Mausoleum services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 3 PM with Pastor Brad Williams officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:30 PM until service time on Thursday at the mausoleum. Entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be sent to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, in memory of Mrs. Yearego.
