William "Earl" Quesenberry, age 90, of White Oak, WV, passed away on August 28, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Beckley after an extended illness.
Born on June 12, 1927, in White Oak, he was the son of Earley Dwight and Letha M. Quesenberry.
A 1946 graduate of Shady Spring High School, he served in the US Army and then returned home where he married the love of his life, Juanita.
A carpenter by trade, he spent many hours caring for the farm he loved and called his home. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. He loved his family, being outdoors and his church and church family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Quesenberry, Marge Payne, Clarice Roliff, Ruth Lilly and brother, Darrell Quesenberry.
In addition to his wife Juanita, those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Michael and Danny (Jennifer) Quesenberry; grandchildren, Ann Marie, Michelle, David, Korey and Stacy; nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Lois Francisco and Judith Lilly, his brother, Harrell Quesenberry, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Shady Spring on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 1 PM with Pastor Delvin D. Elwell Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery at Mt. View, WV.
Friends may visit the family from 11 AM until service time on Friday at the church.
Pallbearers will be David Quesenberry, John Nicholas, Anthony Arndt, Dave Ruckle, David Lagowski and John Kincaid.
